A few years ago, after the Winter Olympics
Ms. Nao Kodaira, a speedskater
introduced the words as her favorite motto.

Since then,
the words became my motto as well.

Wish I could live this way
without fervor or pretentiousness
like the young speedskater.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow.
Learn as if you were to live forever.
