It was about 30 years ago
when I saw that dream,
a dream of the Holy Eucharist.

It was there
a brilliant Holy Eucharist
on the monstrance.

I bolted upright in my bed
in the dawnlight and
worshiped it.

It was there
for a few moments.

I still remember
the awesomeness
I felt that time.

I seldom attend
the real Mass these years,
but this image still
comes back like a flashlight.

Lord, are you there?
